AAMFT Approved Supervisor
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. My Master’s degree was completed in Portland, Oregon at Lewis and Clark College, where I studied Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy with a side focus in Addiction Studies.
For over 10 years, I have dedicated my life to the study of psychology and counseling. During these years I have worked as a counselor and therapist in many different contexts from wilderness therapy, to community mental health, to residential addiction treatment. Over this time I have developed specialties in working with relationship issues, children’s behavioral health, family conflict, trauma recovery, addiction, Men’s issues, and an affirming position to LGBTQIAA community members. As a relational therapist, I take into account the multiple contexts in which my clients function on a day to day basis and work with them to break free from old habits and maximize their access to solutions in order to discover change and growth.
I am also employed during a select number of daytime hours as the Executive Director of Clinical Services at a large mental health agency in the Charlotte area. This allows me to be available for you and your loved ones during convenient evening and weekend hours. I also provide approved clinical supervision for provisionally licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT-As) and licensed professional counselors (LPC-As) in my private practice for AAMFT and NCBLPC Licensure Boards, respectively.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding your own desires for change and growth.
